"Run across You Again" is a song by American rapper Wiz Khalifa, featuring American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth. It was commissioned for the soundtrack of the 2015 picture show Furious 7 as a tribute to actor Paul Walker, who died in a single-vehicle accident on November 30, 2013. After on, the song was included as a bonus track on the international release of Puth's debut anthology, Nine Track Listen. The artists co-wrote the vocal with its co-producers, DJ Frank E and Andrew Cedar, with additional production from Puth and mixing provided by Manny Marroquin. "See You Again" was released on March 10, 2015, as the soundtrack's pb single in the United States.
"Run into You Over again" became both Khalifa'southward and Puth's biggest single to engagement. Writing and development [edit]
"See You Over again" was written by DJ Frank Due east, Charlie Puth, Wiz Khalifa, and Andrew Cedar. It was produced by DJ Frank E, Charlie Puth, and Andrew Cedar.[five] Frank E and Puth were approached by their publishing company, Creative person Publishing Group, to develop a tune that could pay tribute to actor Paul Walker for the film Furious vii (2015). His publishing visitor'south president Ben Maddahi so set upwards a first-time studio session for Puth with DJ Frank E at a studio in Los Angeles.[6]
Puth became emotionally attached while writing the runway, recalling Vail Cerullo, a friend of Puth's time at Berklee College of Music, who died in a motorcycle accident in 2012.[7] [8] He was at first reluctant that the film's soundtrack label, Atlantic Records, would choose his song for the vocal. The "Run across Y'all Again" music video was the most viewed video on YouTube from July 10 to August four, 2017,[35] [36] and the most liked video on the site from August 27, 2016, to July 25, 2017. As of March 16, 2022, it has received over five.4 billion views and over 37.four meg likes, making it the site's fifth near viewed and 2d most liked video.[37] [38] It was the second video ever to tape two billion[39] and three billion views,[forty] the tertiary video ever to achieve four billion views[41] and the fourth video ever to reach five billion views.[42]
Synopsis [edit]
The video begins with a shot of a cliff pinnacle at sunset, followed by Khalifa walking down a highway road. Puth is then shown singing the chorus whilst sitting at, and playing, a piano located between two cars. Khalifa'due south rap verses and Puth singing the second chorus and span are interspersed with footage from Furious seven. Later on the bridge, the concluding movie scene shows Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Cody Walker, filling in for his brother, Paul) driving together, pulled over in their cars and smiling at each other one terminal time before driving away on split roads into the sunset. After the camera pans up into the sky, the screen turns white, the words "For Paul" announced on screen and the video ends.

Khalifa and Puth performed "See Y'all Again" alive on The This evening Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in March 2015 and on an episode of Sat Night Alive in May 2015.[45] Diesel also performed the song live as a tribute to Paul Walker during the 2015 MTV Motion-picture show Awards.[46] Khalifa and Puth reprised the song in a operation on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Apr 2015.[47] Khalifa has performed the vocal, without Puth, as part of the Boys of Zummer Tour, in which Khalifa co-headlined with Autumn Out Male child. Puth performed the vocal at the Uppercase Jingle Bong Ball in 2015. Khalifa also performed the song on season 8 of The Phonation, with flavour 7 finalist Chris Jamison performing Puth'south vocals. Wiz Khalifa also performed the vocal at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
